Prior to making viral videos, I held creative events in my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI. In this particular event, I built a 500 ft. water slide in the middle of the street, free for anyone to ride for an entire weekend in August. We had over 30,000 attendees, and coverage from NPR and the New York Times.
